With over 20 years of cumulative experience across clinical social work, behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability services, crisis prevention and intervention, as well as long-term care regulatory and Medicaid waiver systems, 3JA Therapeutic Behavioral & Community Services, PLLC was founded to deliver care that is ethical, effective, and deeply human.
Our work is grounded in evidence-based practice and a commitment to strengthening not only individuals, but also the families, communities and systems that support them.
About Us
Our Name, Our Purpose, Our Standards
Our Name
The name 3JA reflects the founder’s greatest inspiration—her children. Her three older sons’ names begin with J, and her youngest son’s name begins with A. This foundation of family represents the values that guide our work: compassion, resilience, and connection.
Our Purpose
3JA is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic, behavioral, and community services that support individuals while strengthening families, providers, and systems. We believe meaningful, sustainable outcomes are achieved when care is coordinated and responsive across environments.
The bridge imagery within the 3JA logo symbolizes connection and continuity—reflecting our role in bridging gaps across care settings and support systems to promote ethical, person-centered service delivery.
Our Standards
As a Professional Limited Liability Company (PLLC), 3JA operates under professional licensure, clinical standards, and elevated accountability, reflecting our responsibility to provide services grounded in evidence, ethics, and professional integrity.

Our Approach
Stephanie McWilliams, LCSW, SMQT, MSW, MHA
At 3JA, our approach recognizes that meaningful change happens within systems—not in isolation. Individuals are shaped by their environments, relationships, and experiences, and effective support must account for all three.

We integrate therapeutic care, behavioral support, and community-based consultation to meet people where they are while strengthening the systems around them. Whether working with individuals, families, provider organizations, or community partners and stakeholders, we prioritize clarity, collaboration, and practical strategies that translate into real-world outcomes.

Our work integrates evidence-based clinical and psychosocial approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practices, and functional frameworks, while emphasizing education and collaboration with individuals, families, community partners, and stakeholders. This holistic approach supports meaningful, sustainable change across care environments—extending beyond individual sessions, plans, or programs.
